European Drive Results Roadshow comes to the Nürburgring
On 15 and 16 July 2023, the European Truck Racing Championship will arrive at at the Nürburgring. After stops in Italy (Misano), Slovakia (Slovakia Ring) and Poland (Poznan), the fourth official race of the Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship (ETRC) will take place in the Eifel.
Goodyear has been the exclusive tyre supplier since 2004 and was appointed official partner in 2016. Since 2022, the tyre manufacturer has also been involved as title sponsor, helping the racing series towards its net zero emissions target set by the FIA in line with the Paris Agreement. The goal is for the championship to become completely emission-free by 2038 at the latest.
Strong Tyre Performance for a Lasting Racing Experience
Goodyear truck racing tyres with similar characteristics to the manufacturer’s production tyres are used at the Nürburgring. The specially designed tread offers enhanced grip properties on both dry and wet tracks. The tyres also make a significant contribution to the sustainable development of racing. Goodyear contributes to waste reduction at races by extending tyre life through retreading. Infact, the tyres used in the Goodyear FIA ETRC are subsequently retreaded and can be reused as regular road tyres by transport fleets.
Drive Results Showtruck brings Goodyear Total Mobility to Life
Goodyear will also be present at the Nürburgring as part of its Drive Results Tour 2023. Visitors to the mobile, newly designed show truck will experience the holistic mobility concept Goodyear Total Mobility with selected innovative tyres and mobility solutions from Goodyear and can experience the individual building blocks interactively and also via augmented reality. The campaign invites fleet managers and interested parties to experience the benefits of integrating tyres, solutions and services to create a sustainable, efficient and competitive fleet.
